5527103806_82df8d732b_mHouse Joint Resolution 10 proposes to amend Article II, Section 38 of the Ohio Constitution (Removal of Officials) to establish a procedure for recalling public officials.

“The resolution would require electors seeking to recall an elected official to submit a petition signed by qualified electors equal to at least 15 percent of the total votes cast for governor or president in the jurisdiction from which the officer was elected. The petition would include a general statement of 200 words or less about the grounds on which the recall is sought. Additionally, the governor and lieutenant governor would be recalled together, instead of as separate offices.”
